The LHA peel
The LHA LALA peel
The LHA LALA peel debuted in South Korea in 2020 and is now available in over 500 dermatology and skin clinics throughout Korea. Globally, the number of clinics offering the LHA peel is rapidly increasing. Known as the Glass Skin Facial, this treatment is renowned for its ability to achieve flawless skin without downtime or discomfort. At ERSA Esthetics, I stay updated on industry trends and innovations, and I am thrilled to include the LHA peel in my range of chemical peels and dermal treatments.
What is LHA?
LHA, short for lipohydroxy acid, is a derivative of salicylic acid known for its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal properties. Unlike salicylic acid, LHA has a larger molecular size and a fatty acid structure, allowing it to penetrate the skin slowly. This characteristic makes it gentler and well-tolerated, often with minimal to zero downtime.
LHA helps prevent blemishes by targeting sebum-rich sebaceous glands and preventing oil from becoming trapped in pores. This direct action aids in reducing acne and blemishes effectively.
The LHA Facial treatment combines PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) LED light therapy with a customized hydrating mask tailored to your skin type.
LHA is particularly suitable for individuals who may not tolerate other chemical exfoliants well or prefer a gentle treatment option.
